Home learning

Welcome to our home learning page. We will be adding to this page in the coming weeks. Home Learning should be short, often and most of all FUN! The home learning expectation in Year 2 is... * Reading and discussing their home reader each night * Practising their clever chick alphabet or blends daily * Practising their reading words each night, students begin with the Rocket words, then move onto the Star, Sun and Moon words * Reading and returning to re-read 1-2 poems at night in their poetry books * 2-3 times a week practising counting 1-20, and finding the number before and after a number to 20 on their number chart in the communication book. Spelling will start in a couple of weeks for those students who know their alphabet confidently Great sites to look at with your kids!
